IT'S THE LAW-TEN YEARS-A GUARANTEE FROM CONGRESS

Because of the manner in which abusive Tax Shelters were retroactively eliminated by the Tax Reform Act of 1986, Senate Majority Leader, George Mitchell has sought to assure potential users that the Federal Housing Tax Credit is viable over the long term. Senator Mitchell has specifically stated that, "In the law, Congress GUARANTEES the Credit for a period of ten years to investors."
